Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club is seeking a Director of PeriOperative Services to join our team!

Under the supervision of the director, the manager is responsible for the director with operational issues related to coordination of patient care, development of employees, utilization of resources, and performance improvement thereby achieving an environment of excellence in clinical quality, safety and service by supporting the hospital mission, vision and facility goals. The manager helps identify cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department. The manager maintains compliance with professional nursing, TJC and all federal/state standards of care. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees and vendors. The manager works with Senior Leadership in meeting facility goals. The manager helps to oversee the Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op and PACU departments as delegated by the director; functions as a staff nurse and/or charge nurse, as necessary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
• Current Texas RN License
• Current BLS & ACLS upon hire, must get PALS/ENPC within 30 days of hire

Specific Job Experience

• Minimum five (5) years' experience as a RN in a critical care hospital unit
• Minimum two (2) years' experience as a RN in any peri-operative area
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Excellent teaching skills
• Experience with Electronic Healthcare Records
