Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

The machine operator will safely produce and finish high-quality cast molded products in a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut GEP materials to within specified tolerances and according to standard operating procedures.
• Measure products using tapes, micrometers, and verniers.
• Visually inspect products to ensure quality.
• Maintain accurate work documentation.
• Read and follow schedule and manufacturing order instructions.
• Maintain a safe and orderly working environment.
• Operate other GEP Cast second ops equipment as needed.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Maintain work area and company property to high housekeeping standards.

Essential Skills

• 1-3 years of industrial/manufacturing experience.
• Machine operation proficiency.
• Ability to measure to the 16th of an inch.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
• Computer and hand documentation skills.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with table saws, extrusion, overhead crane, CNC, and micrometers is beneficial.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read a tape measure and micrometer.
• Computer navigation ability.
• Dedicated to the concept of an injury-free environment.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and process flow.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reading, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.72 - $22.72/hr.
