Sub Arc Welders Needed in Tulsa and Surrounding Areas
Shifts Available: Various (Day, Night)
Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sub Arc Welder to join our team in Tulsa, OK. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality submerged arc welding operations on a variety of metal components. This position offers the opportunity to work on various shifts, providing flexibility to fit your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform submerged arc welding (Sub Arc) on structural steel, pipe, and other metal components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to ensure precise and accurate welding.
- Set up and operate welding machines, including adjusting settings for specific jobs.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine maintenance as needed.
- Work safely and adhere to all company and industry safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Report any issues or defects in materials, equipment, or welds to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification in welding (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in submerged arc welding.
- Strong understanding of welding techniques, materials, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in a welding environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing, bending, and reaching during welding operations.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including a manufacturing environment.
