MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Maintenance TechnicianTo work as a Maintenance Technician, you will provide maintenance services at our main campus and family group homes. Reliability, ability to work on projects and operate power tools is essential to excelling in the position. Performs routine maintenance on buildings, building systems and grounds by performing the following duties.Provide maintenance and lawn services to our facilities and care homes while maintaining upkeep of our homes and campus.Completes assignments based on work orders and preventative maintenance schedules primarily for homes, buildings, or grounds assigned to. Completes other work as assigned.Assess repair needs and ensure supplies and tools needed are available to make the repair.Installs and maintains equipment, furniture and appliances.Inspects and troubleshoots equipment and systems.Orders or requests ordering of supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.Visually inspects facilities, machinery, and equipment.Completes checks of fire control panels and other building systems.Safely operates hand tools, power tools, and equipment.Collaborates with staff and other departments during renovations.Moves equipment, fixtures, and individual's belongings during relocations or moves.Repairs drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other buildingCleans and assists with general upkeep of the facilities and grounds.Follows company safety practices and regulations.Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.Participates in on-call rotation.Completes assigned training including agency compliance requirements.Qualifications:1-3 years related experience or training; light electrical, light plumbing, light carpentry, light HVACAble to diagnose light trouble shootingMust be able to work independently and swiftlyAble to lift 50 pounds, bend, squat, pull, push and use lawn and power tools and equipment.Good attendance record requiredHigh School Diploma or GEDValid Driver's License, good driving record and Auto Insurance18 years or olderPass criminal background, drug screen and physicalBenefits:Comprehensive health package (medical/dental/vision/life/disability)401(k) with company match starting at 60 daysPaid TrainingPaid Vacation & Personal Days starting at 90 daysAccess to a Success CoachInterest Free Tuition and Emergency LoansTransportation Assistance$2000 Employee Referral ProgramEmployee Assistance ProgramTraining & Advancement through Sunshine UAbout Sunshine:Sunshine Communities, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Northwest Ohio supporting individuals with developmental disabilities through residential, vocational, clinical, therapeutic, and recreational services.
