Production Planner II

Jobtailor

Play a critical role in managing and optimizing production schedules to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Responsible for coordinating complex production plans, analyzing demand and supply data, and collaborating with multiple departments. Report directly to the Production Planning Manager and work out of the South Bend, IN location on an On-site work schedule. Impact the efficiency and reliability of the production process by ensuring accurate scheduling, timely material availability, and proactive resolution of supply chain challenges. Requirements Experience in production planning or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. Strong expertise in production scheduling, inventory control, and material requirements planning (MRP) systems. Proficiency with ERP software such as SAP or PeopleSoft to manage production data and schedules. Ability to analyze complex demand and supply data to optimize production plans and resolve scheduling conflicts. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Experience with Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) and inventory optimization techniques. Knowledge of advanced production planning tools and methodologies. Strong project management and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively across functions and influence decision-making processes. Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in production planning and supply chain management, with a strong focus on production scheduling, inventory control, and the use of ERP systems like SAP or PeopleSoft. Proven ability to analyze demand and supply data to optimize production plans and enhance operational efficiency.
