Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic, geriatric, neurological, or post-surgical needs.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities to improve strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment used in therapy sessions, ensuring safety and proper functioning.
• Support hand therapy occupational practices and orthotics interventions within the scope of practice.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately in medical records.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and post-discharge care strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and dance therapists to optimize patient outcomes.

Experience

• Practicing in a physical therapy role with hands-on experience across inpatient, outpatient, or sub-acute care environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopedics to support effective treatment delivery.
• Experience operating medical equipment such as therapeutic ultrasound devices or electrical stimulation units.
• Familiarity with orthotics interventions in occupational therapy settings and hand therapy practices.
• Exposure to geriatrics and hospital medicine environments is highly desirable.
• Prior work in dance therapy or post-acute care settings will be considered an asset.
• Outpatient clinic experience focusing on orthopedics or rehabilitation is preferred for this energetic role.

Hours: 9:00am - 6:00pm. Full time would be Monday through Friday and part time the days would vary.
