50 mile radius rule - ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF CANDIDATE'S UNEXPIRED DRIVER'S LICENSE # beds 32-Beds Triage & Fast Track Triage area located in the ER with a separate Fast Track - Open 11 am - 11 pm Certs "RN's: BLS & ACLS are Required. PALS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred. NOTE: if they have the space they will allow travelers to take TNCC here (at the travelers own expense)" Ratios 1:4 in the Main ER, 1:5 in the 5-bed lower acuity area within ER, 1:4-6 in the Fast Track EMR EPIC (See info regarding Epic in the General Info Tab) Charge Nurse Yes - no patient assignment. Nurse Aides ER Techs (3 per shift, ratios 1:10-12) Weekend Requirement Every-other-weekend. Sat/Sun for both Days/Nights Holidays Work in the holiday rotation schedule with perm staff Scrub Color Royal Blue Tele Yes - Must be able to read & interpret strips RT 24/7 RT is in-house 24/7 but RN's may do aerosols for non-vented patients. RT does not do EKGs Vents Yes - Servo ER Providers They have 3 physicians on staff in the ED from 11 am - 11 pm; 1 physician for 4 hours on nights; 2 physicians the rest of the time. Also utilize NP's & PA's IV Team IV Team available house-wide until 10 pm M-F & until 3:30 pm on the weekends Pharmacy 24/7 In-house pharmacy 24/7 - No pharmacist in the ER - Accudose Shifts "0615 - 1845, 1100 - 2300, 1815 - 0645 " Floating No floating outside of the ED Floor specific orientation 1-2 shifts with a preceptor Common diagnosis / Types of patients All typical ER patients: Chest Pain, Respiratory failure, Abdominal pain, 15% pediatric population, occasional GSW, closed head injuries, etc. but major traumas are stabilized & transferred to sister hospital, JW Ruby Memorial - Level 1 Trauma Center 40-45 min away Additional Notes They admit about 18% of what comes in the door. ER Staff keeps their own holds unless float pool floats to take holds. Patients average approximately 2 hours/45 minutes in the ER. This is an extremely efficient ER & a very positive work environment. They are used to travelers & are very welcoming/traveler friendly. NO FALSE NAILS
