Essential Job Functions Conduct Product Audits Keep audit records according to inspection plans Generate Non‑Conformity Reports when finding non‑conforming products Release products that meet inspection requirements Bring reports of readings and measurements made to products Report on audit findings in cases of non‑conformities Perform GR&R monitoring and control of MRB and scrap Support receiving and shipments (dock audits) Support the implementation of process improvements Follow up on the instructions defined by the Quality Engineer Work collectively to solve problems Ensure record retention compliance Basic knowledge in testing concepts, tools and methodologies Ability to read and interpret blueprints (product drawings) Knowledge of basic‑relevant file formats Ability to recognize quality defects and determine next steps: seriousness of issue, containment activities and countermeasure Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operation practices, record‑keeping systems, forms of control and personnel requirements, implementing change Participate, comply, and support environmental, health and safety system requirements Other duties as assigned Must be able to travel and work at customer locations when needed Qualifications Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs Reasoning Ability – Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Computer Skills – Competence in personal computer; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, e‑mail) and familiarity with other database‑related software Experience Experience on inspection and auditing products preferred Basic knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and measuring tapes preferred Basic knowledge of SPC, GR&R preferred 1+ years quality systems experience (a plus) Corrective actions and root cause analysis Demonstrated knowledge of production safe work practices Knowledge and ability to handle manual of shop tools Education High School degree / GED Physical Requirements The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
