Pharmacy Technician

Job Description Job Description Clinicare Pharmacy is seeking Pharmacy Technicians who will be working under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy and advanced practice clinical pharmacists. Pharmacy Technician will: Collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy, staff pharmacists and the Advanced Practice Pharmacy Program (APP Program) clinical pharmacists to support departmental needs and ensure compliance with all approved department policies and protocols. Provide the highest standard of excellence in customer service and patient care in coordinating with all providers, pharmacists, and APP program, according to the organization's policies and procedures. Specific responsibilities include day-to-day operations, staffing (includes all pharmacy technician duties), pharmacy inventory management, with an emphasis on high quality customer service, direct patient care, patient and provider satisfaction, clinical pharmacy services, efficient and optimal productivity In this position, Pharmacy Technician will have the following responsibilities: Administrative, leadership and team responsibilities Deliver upon the service expectations of our patients by engaging in positive interactions to achieve highest health outcomes. Communicate with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to supervise multiple tasks to achieve results through teamwork and motivation of staff. Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Windows, Excel, and Office 365. Respect the confidentiality and privacy of patients, providers and staff. Treat and access all information and data within the scope of the position with complete confidentiality and security in compliance with HIPPA guidelines. Work in a safe manner, adhering to general safety precautions, standards and policies. Successfully complete all new hire/onboarding trainings in the required timeframe. Actively support and incorporate the mission and core values of our organization into daily activities. Treat all others with respect and demonstrates excellence and compassion in daily work and relationships with others. Demonstrate competency by placing a high priority on service and patient care. Demonstrate performance by adhering to established policies and procedure and exhibiting the defined characteristics associated with attendance and punctuality. Demonstrate competency by knowing and applying the principles of an inclusive work environment. Consequently, be competent in the interpretation of a patient's self-report or behavior, with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial and chronological maturation process. Required qualifications for this position include: Current California State Pharmacy Technician license. Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement (CPhT). Two (2) years of pharmacy technician experience in community pharmacy practice, ambulatory or clinical settings. Experience with telephone systems and telephone monitoring software. Experience with pharmacy management information and dispensing systems and EHR. Knowledge of pharmacy workflow, including dispensing, physician practices, managed care, PBMs, health plans and benefits. Working knowledge of computers and Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel.
