Staff Accountant

Support the monthly financial statement close process, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely while analyzing financial statements and investigating variances. Prepare, review, and analyze account reconciliations while ensuring compliance with internal controls and applicable reporting requirements. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, including analysis of current results compared with prior periods. Assist with accounting, analysis, and budgeting activities in partnership with FP&A and other finance teams. Collaborate with accounting, finance, and operational teams to resolve accounting and reporting issues. Work with internal and external auditors as needed and provide supporting documentation. Assist with special projects, process improvements, and the implementation of changes related to accounting standards and regulations. JOB SCOPE Perform day-to-day activities supporting the monthly financial close and reporting process. Ensure accounting transactions and financial information are complete, accurate, and recorded on a timely basis. Identify and communicate accounting or reporting issues to management. Partner with various departments on accounting-related activities and initiatives. Contribute to financial reporting, analysis, and decision-making through accurate and timely accounting support. Help resolve accounting issues and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies. Exercise sound judgment and initiative when addressing accounting and reporting matters. Participate in departmental and project-level planning activities as needed. Work with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Position may occasionally require overtime, weekend work, or limited travel. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations, including GAAP and internal control requirements. Ability to prepare and maintain clear, accurate supporting documentation, work papers, and accounting analyses. Demonstrated ability to leverage technology to improve accounting and reporting processes. Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to manage projects and work effectively across multiple departments. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
