We are looking for a professional, motivated, and client-focused Sales Associate to join our team. This is a full-time retail sales position where you will work face-to-face with clients to guide them in selecting engagement rings, wedding bands, and fine jewelry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year. Pay is hourly, plus commission plus bonuses, so pay is up to you, based on your performance.

Work Location: In person, 3 locations in Hampton Roads. Store location placements are based on team fit and will be decided during the interview process.

As a Sales Associate at Adele Diamond, you will help create a warm, professional, and memorable experience for every client who walks through our doors. Key responsibilities include:

• Greet clients with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming in-store experience.
• Ask thoughtful questions to understand each client’s needs, preferences, lifestyle, and reason for shopping.
• Guide clients through engagement rings, wedding bands, fine jewelry, diamonds, custom design options, and gift selections.
• Present jewelry in a way that connects to the client’s story, milestone, or special occasion.
• Assist clients with purchases, financing options, care plans, insurance, and complementary products when appropriate.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through follow-up, thank-you notes, proactive outreach, and excellent post-sale service.
• Maintain a personal client book and follow up with clients about new arrivals, promotions, and important milestones.
• Meet or exceed personal and store sales goals while supporting the overall success of the team.
• Stay engaged in ongoing training on diamonds, jewelry, product knowledge, sales skills, service standards, and The Adele Way.
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including payments, receipts, orders, and client information.
• Assist with online and phone orders as needed.
• Follow store procedures for jewelry handling, security, client service, and daily operations.
• Support store events, promotions, and client outreach with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and beautiful sales floor and workspace.
• Contribute to a positive team culture rooted in kindness, professionalism, accountability, and performance.

• Sales experience is required, preferably in a retail, customer service, or client-facing environment.
• Jewelry sales experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Warm, professional, and confident when working with clients.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working toward sales goals.
• Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow.
• Professional appearance and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using POS systems and learning new technology.
• Able to handle high-value merchandise and transactions with accuracy and care.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Must be available to work retail hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
