This role drives supply side customer contracting within the energy section, and cross‑functional alignment to ensure commercial contracting operates with precision and discipline.Key Responsibilities1. Contracting & Commercial GovernanceOversee the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, including planning, drafting, negotiation, redlining, approval workflows, and execution.Partner with P&L owners to align business objectives and win-win positions with the customer.Partner with Legal, Finance, and Sales to ensure contracts meet commercial, compliance, and risk standards.Develop, improve and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and clause libraries to ensure consistency and speed.Implement and manage contract management systems (CLM) to improve visibility, cycle time and improve overall efficiency of deal flow.Ensure commercial terms align with company strategy, margin requirements, and regulatory obligations.2.Contracting Performance Analytics & InsightsEstablish dashboards and analytics that provide actionable insights into contracting activities, Contracted Order Entry and Backlog Growth attainment.Identify risks and opportunities in the commercial funnel and recommend corrective actions.3. Cross‑Functional CollaborationAlign Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Product, and Customer Success around shared commercial contracting objectives.Serve as the operational bridge between customer‑facing teams and internal stakeholders.Drive onboarding for new Commercial contracting stakeholders and participants.4. Team LeadershipLead and develop cross functional teams across commercial operations, contracting, and sales support.Build a strong commercial contracting team and establish commercial organization as a cross functional developmental path within Landis+Gyr.Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.Qualifications10+ years in commercial operations, contracting, or related fields.Strong experience with large, complex contract negotiations (preferably supply side), commercial terms, and risk management.Expertise in CRM and CLM systems (Ideally MS Dynamics, Conga).Analytical mindset with strong business acumen and executive‑level communication skills.Proven leadership experience in a high‑growth or complex commercial environment.Comfort and expertise in driving cross-functional teams is a must. Navigating and problem solving in complex and sometimes ambiguous scenarios is necessary. Experience in serving Electric, Water and Gas Utility Industry is highly desirable.Experience in negotiating complex technology solutions, including hardware, software and services is highly desired.
