As a Lead Cook, you will supervise the kitchen staff in the absence of the Chef and ensure the highest standards of food quality and preparation. This role requires strong leadership, providing guidance and training to the kitchen associates in proper cooking techniques, equipment usage, and safety measures. You will visually inspect and select the freshest ingredients for our diverse menus, follow recipes meticulously, and prepare requisitions for supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Kitchen Staff: Lead and train the team in proper cooking techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures.
- Quality Control: Ensure only the freshest ingredients are used by conducting regular sensory evaluations.
- Monitor Production Flow: Oversee food preparation and maintain adherence to cost and quality control standards.
- Health Compliance: Ensure proper food storage, labeling, and adherence to health regulations.
- Daily Operations: Manage kitchen setup, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness for efficient service.
