In fact, our actuation solutions are installed on some of the most advanced aircraft, missile applications and mission-critical space exploration systems in the world, featuring the latest in motion control technology.With a strong focus on custom precision manufacturing processes with machining automation and techniques, we aim to remain the best value producer of complex and precision Aerospace & Defense components.Beaver Aerospace & Defense is looking for an Electrical Technician to join our Assembly team in Livonia, Michigan. In this role, you'll perform electrical assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting on our products, working from detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and job specifications. You'll help keep electrical work moving accurately and on schedule so assemblies continue through production without delay — reading drawings, performing precise wiring and assembly work, troubleshooting problems independently, and flagging issues to Engineering or Quality before they become bigger problems.Main responsibilities:Perform electrical assembly, wiring, and installation work in accordance with drawings, schematics, and job specifications (approx. 40% of time)Conduct electrical testing and troubleshooting on in-process and completed assemblies (approx. 20% of time)Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and job requirements to guide assembly work (approx. 15% of time)Inspect and verify completed electrical work against quality and specification requirements (approx. 10% of time)Perform rework, repairs, and resolve production electrical issues as they arise (approx. 10% of time)Maintain accurate documentation, housekeeping, and clear communication with Assembly, Engineering, and Quality to support production flow (approx. 5% of time)Our ideal candidate:Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagramsHands-on electrical wiring and assembly experienceProficiency using electrical hand tools and test equipment, including a multimeterStrong attention to detail and the ability to perform precise work to documented requirements and tolerancesAbility to troubleshoot basic electrical and wiring problems independentlyComfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where priorities can shift based on business needsBasic computer skills and the ability to learn company production documentation systemsWillingness to complete required annual training, including AS9100 quality system requirements and ITAR/Export ComplianceAerospace and defense manufacturing experience is a plusElectro-mechanical assembly experience is a plusSoldering and/or crimping experience, along with related certifications (e.g., IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001), is a plusExperience working within AS9100 or another regulated quality environment is a plusPrevious electrical testing and troubleshooting experience is a plusWork culture and environment:Are you known as an innovation driver?
