This full-time contract position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 15, 2027, offering the chance to support students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth in a dynamic and inclusive setting.
Ideal candidates have hands-on experience working with elementary-aged children in special education and possess strong collaborative, communication, and instructional skills. The position is housed at an elementary school with dedicated ABA/Autism-based classrooms, providing critical support and tailored programming for students with unique learning needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching Certification
- Experience in ABA or Autism support programs, preferably in an elementary setting
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavioral interventions
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Apply ABA strategies and evidence-based interventions in classroom routines
- Foster positive student engagement and monitor academic and behavioral progress
- Collaborate closely with paraeducators, related service providers, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings, ongoing training, and professional development
- Maintain comprehensive records and assessments as required
