Kumon Math & Reading Center is seeking a Center Manager to help lead our established Baltimore-area learning center. This is a great opportunity for a natural leader who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and taking ownership.
The ideal candidate is comfortable leading a team, building relationships with families, and wearing multiple hats in a small-business environment. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow beyond a typical part-time role and take on greater responsibility over time, with potential future opportunities for a business-minded candidate.
Compensation:
$28–$35 per hour
Part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week)
Additional hours as needed and flexible

Responsibilities:Lead and support center staff, including employees, while maintaining clear expectations
Build strong relationships with parents and families, and address concerns professionally
Meet with prospective families and explain the value of the Kumon program in a warm, consultative manner
Oversee daily center operations, organization, and administrative tasks
Identify problems, improve processes, and step in wherever needed to keep the center running smoothly
Leadership, management, education, customer service, sales experience preferred
Strong communicator who connects well with parents, students, and staff
Takes initiative, solves problems, and follows through
Comfortable leading others and having direct, respectful conversations
Personality matters: We value attitude, character, energy, and willingness to learn—not just experience or technical skills
Our Baltimore-area learning center serves approximately 200–300 students and families in a structured environment focused on developing stronger academic skills, confidence, independence, and perseverance. We believe great results come from combining proven systems with people who genuinely care about students, and that is where the Kumon Math and Reading Center fits into the experience.
