GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIESPHYSICIAN shall work full-time in the PCH Fellowship Program of PCC in the performance of the duties and responsibilities as outlined below. PHYSICIANs employment status will be calculated on the average number of 4-hour sessions worked per week agreed to and documented by PHYSICIAN and the Clinic Medical Director. This will be based on an average of eight (8) 4-hour sessions worked per week for a full-time physician.B. SPECIFIC STATEMENT OF DUTIESPCH CallParticipate equally as scheduled; responsible for finding coverage when neededStay in touch, aware of entire service at all times; collaborate with PCH attendingDo pre-op assignment (hx, diagnosis, attending preferences, etc.)Dictate/write op notes, post-op orderRound daily post-op until discharge, daily note, coordinate with 1 ° OB or PCH residentPost-call procedures; assist with discharge planning; attend rounds if possibleParticipate equally in neo/peds oversight and gynecology surgeryParticipate in post-partum roundingComplete 2 obstetrics emergency drillsPCH Seminar Wednesdays (8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.)C-Section/M&M Chart ReviewPCH DidacticsReview and present journal articlesFellows to present didactic topicsFellowship faculty to present didactic topicsC-sections and Case conference: emphasize labor management, operative challenges, high risk patient and neo/peds cases of interest, review fetal heart tracingsCare Management (should raise questions for project or best practice guidelines)PCH case management at all sites on Wednesdays 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.PCH Manual guidelinesIf time allows, fellows in conjunction with fellowship directors will work to update the electronic PCH manual.Maternal-Infant Mortality Conference 2nd Tuesday, 8:00 a.m.Rotate monthly to present cases, all to attendDictate summary of all transfers, morbidities, and mortalitiesReview any questions prior to the meeting with the M&M chairpersonOB Department Meeting 2nd Friday, 8:00 a.m.Joint Practice Meeting 1st Tuesday, 8:00 a.m.Project and Best Practice GuidelineBest Practice GuidelineSolve a PCH problemPresent at Faculty Development SeminarProject completion (refer to the PCH fellow guide for further details some examples below):Quality improvementChart review on clinical questions (retrospective study)Literature review with PCH manual update and protocolEducational video residents (procedures); patientsOutpatient LDRP Follow-UpWhen on LDRP, review labs/culture results on PCH antepartum/triage patients seen as outpatient and provide appropriate follow-up and documentationPrimary ClinicsCompletion of designated number of clinic sessions (including continuity clinic and PCH specialty clinics) as determined by the Site Medical Directors, Fellowship Directors, and CMO.Scheduling in collaboration with call schedule and under direction of site director or designee.PCH Fellowship CurriculumFellow must comply with the PCH Fellowship Curriculum, including meeting criteria for advancement described in the PCH Fellowship Curriculum.Fellows must present two resident lectures regarding the PCH curriculum during their fellowship year.ProceduresFellows must complete the designated number of procedures (surgical, ultrasound, etc) as determined by the fellowship directors.EvaluationsFellows must have evaluations completed on them (40 clinical evaluations and 20 surgical evaluations total) and have evaluations completed on PCH faculty (40 attending evaluations total) on a quarterly basis throughout their fellow year.QualificationsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
