Holders of the Purchasing Agent I position will complete tasks such as: Oversee and provide technical assistance to purchasing staff in the procurement of goods and non-professional services. Provide oversight to staff on Division of Waste Management (DWM) procurement issues, establish, review, andmonitor contracts and make payments for goods and services in eMARS for the Division, and work closely withvarious Cabinet and procurement staff. Process CR, PRC, GAX, GAX2, ITI, ITA, FA, DO, RFQ, PON2, PO, and SPR1 transactions in eMARS accurately andin a timely manner while assisting with budget preparation, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring compliancewith agency budget requirements. Process eMARS transactions accurately and monitor expenditures to support effective budget management. EEC provides opportunities for development and upward movement. Certification as a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) from the Universal Public Certification Council will substitute for one year of the required education.
