Hybrid work environment with growth opportunities.Job DescriptionVice President, Controller OverviewThe Vice President, Controller will oversee accounting and reporting for a prestigious family office, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Manage financial operations across diverse investment portfolios, including private equity, credit, and real assets.Collaborate with investment and advisory teams to produce detailed performance analytics and reports.Support liquidity management, capital planning, and forecasting for the family office's financial activities.Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely compliance with regulatory requirements.Contribute to the design and implementation of accounting processes and controls for a growing platform.Work in a hybrid environment, combining remote flexibility with on-site collaboration.Join a dynamic team committed to excellence, stewardship, and integrity in financial management.Vice President, Controller Key Responsibilities & DutiesExecute monthly and quarterly financial closes across investment vehicles and entities, maintaining accurate records.Prepare financial statements, reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger for all entities.Manage partner capital accounts, capital calls, and distribution activities per agreements.Calculate fund waterfalls, carried interest, and incentive allocations for multiple investment vehicles.Support quarterly valuation processes and produce performance reports including IRR, MOIC, DPI, and TVPI.Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance with external advisors and service providers.Review deliverables from administrators and service providers for accuracy and completeness.Enhance accounting systems and controls to support operational efficiency and compliance.Vice President, Controller Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited institution.CPA designation preferred, with 8–12 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.Expertise in fund and partnership accounting within alternatives such as private equity or real assets.Proficiency in US GAAP and partnership accounting principles, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems like Allvue or Investran.Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle sensitive financial matters with discretion.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Commitment to upholding values of excellence, teamwork, and integrity in financial management.
