Audit Senior Accountant

Role Summary
Our expanding practice has created the need for an Audit Senior Accountant in Denver. You will be a self-starter and ambitious professional, well-versed in audit theory and capable of preparing and reviewing complex financial audits. As an Audit Senior, you will take on greater responsibilities and handle more difficult assignments within the highly regulated environment of the securities industry.

• Primary Responsibilities
• Engagement Leadership: Assume full responsibility (under supervision) for engagements involving audited, reviewed, or compiled financial statements.
• Complex Segments: Work on the most complicated segments of audit and accounting engagements, specifically focusing on investment entities.
• Team Supervision: Supervise and train Staff Accountants, reviewing all workpapers and financial statements before submission to managers.
• Field Work: Conduct and supervise field work, including the review and analysis of internal controls.
• Planning & Budgeting: Plan engagements to achieve quality goals, prepare audit programs, and manage time budgets effectively.
• Technical Research: Perform high-level research for accounting and audit engagements using advanced industry tools.
• Client Advisory: Prepare management letters and identify opportunities to provide additional services to our clients.

• Job Qualifications
• Experience: 3 to 4 years of public accounting experience with a strong emphasis on auditing.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of auditing principles and proficiency in partnership, corporation, and individual entities.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (meeting the 150-hour CPA requirement is preferred).
• CPA Status: CPA Certified OR currently CPA-eligible. You must be actively preparing for and passing the CPA examination if not already completed.
• Skills: Strong project management, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Compensation & Benefits
• Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience).
