About the Position

Job Title: LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: LTAC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Must have a valid RN license Certifications: Must have ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Vent/trach experience - Knowledge of central lines - Preferred wound care experience Description: The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients. Care is delivered by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills and scientific judgment. Leadership is shown in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care. Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education is essential. Patient care priorities must be delegated based on the education and experience of the available staff. The RN provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Patient ratios can be 6:1.
