Title: Automation Technician
Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Job Summary
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems used in injection molding operations.
- Program and optimize industrial robots for handling, degating, and packaging.
- Support preventive maintenance, mold trials, and new product launches.
- Improve equipment reliability, cycle time, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot robots, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, PLCs, and HMIs.
- Program and optimize robots such as Sepro, Fanuc, Yushin, and Wittmann.
- Perform preventive maintenance and maintain automation equipment records.
- Support Lean, Kaizen, process improvements, and production activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
- 2 5 years of injection molding automation or related experience.
- Hands-on experience with robot programming and troubleshooting.
- B.E. or Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or Automation is a plus.
