Position Summary: Payroll Specialist I

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to join our team in the role of Payroll Specialist I. We’re looking for candidates that possess multi-client experience as well as extensive experience in one or more of the following systems: ADP EV6, ADP Streamline, ADP WFN, Alliance, Blue Marble, Ceridian, iSolved, Paychex, Paycom, Paycor, Paylocity, Rippling, UKG Pro, UKG Ready

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing, preparing, and producing accurate and timely payrolls for multiple clients, in multiple locations (states), based on state and federal regulations and company policies
• Checking customers employees’ timesheets for accuracy
• Make adjustments in pay for raises, bonuses, commission, and severance
• Review and validate payroll reports for accuracy, investigating and resolving any discrepancies
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all client files, payroll information, and employee PII
• Analyze payroll results and other Human Resources reports to answer complex questions and recommend courses of action while exercising independent judgment and discretion
• Respond to payroll-related inquiries from client and their employees
• Process employee garnishments
• Coordinate payroll general ledger processing with accounting
• Prepare time and labor files
• Input employee changes, maintain deductions, banking information, and employee maintenance items
• Provide service support to employees, other departments, and management

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• At least 5 years’ proven experience processing end-to-end payroll preferably in a medium to large organization
• Prior experience working in a multi-client environment is required
• Expert knowledge of one of the following: ADP EV6, ADP Streamline, ADP WFN, Alliance, Blue Marble, Ceridian, iSolved, Paychex, Paycom, Paycor, Paylocity, Rippling, UKG Pro, UKG Ready
• In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and best practices
• Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Educated on compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and requirements
• Certified Payroll Professional certification a plus
• Excellent math and numerical skills
• Proficient in Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs

Compensation & Benefits:

The hourly range for this position is $27.88-$29.81. This range is based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and market data, and represents our good faith estimate at the time of posting. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, and life), voluntary benefits, pet insurance, retirement plan, and PTO.
