Job Description

A respected healthcare organization in Oswego, New York is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Scrub to join its Surgical Services team. These full-time day-shift opportunities offer a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, exposure to a diverse range of surgical specialties, competitive compensation, and sign-on bonuses of up to $15,000 .

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, providing, and evaluating care for surgical patients as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.


• Provide safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience.


• Work collaboratively with RNs, surgeons, providers, and other members of the Surgical Services team.


• Follow established principles of aseptic technique, infection prevention, and sterilization.


• Prepare and maintain equipment, instruments, supplies, and surgical areas according to department standards.


• Observe patients for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate clinical team member.


• Accurately document patient care according to established policies and procedures.


• Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and professional standards throughout all aspects of care.


• Participate in a rotating evening, weekend, and holiday on-call schedule.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an approved RN or LPN nursing program , depending on position.


• Current New York State RN or LPN license , as applicable.


• Current CPR certification.


• Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and computer skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Surgical Services environment.


• Surgical Services experience preferred, with opportunities available for candidates without prior surgical experience.

Additional Info:

• Full-time, permanent positions.


• 
  Schedule: Monday–Friday, typically 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.


• 
  Surgical Services RN pay: $34.68–$44.32/hour.


• 
  LPN Scrub pay: $25.25–$30.30/hour.


• 
  Sign-on bonus: Up to $15,000 for candidates with Surgical Services experience.


• Rotating evening, weekend, and holiday call.


• 
  On-call pay: $10/hour while on call, plus a two-hour base-pay recall if called in.


• Current LPN call rotation is approximately one weeknight per week and one weekend every five weeks, with the rotation expected to decrease as the team becomes fully staffed.


• Call scheduling is flexible when possible, and team members may swap call shifts after the schedule is posted.


• Surgical Services includes 4 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy rooms .


• Specialties include bariatrics, cardiology, ENT, gastrointestinal, general surgery, OB/GYN, orthopedics, podiatry, and urology.
