Radiologic Technologist - Central St. Louis

Job Summary The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants to provide x‑ray imaging and related services to patients at Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care centers. Responsibilities Perform x‑ray services for patients under clinical provider direction. Ensure patients are positioned correctly and protected during imaging. Prepare patients for examination, conducting interviews, verifying information, measuring vital signs, and escalating critical cases. Conduct point‑of‑care tests such as flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG as needed. Maintain medical records, scan charts to patient files, and perform follow‑up courtesy calls. Document daily controls, calibration, and quality assurance logs for equipment. Perform routine maintenance, cleaning of X‑ray equipment, and manage supplies. Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and submit repair tickets. Collaborate with ordering providers to determine appropriate imaging views. Explain procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and answering questions. Ensure radiation safety protocols are followed and ALARA principles applied. Verify image quality, send images to radiologists, and maintain accurate records. Qualifications High School Diploma (required). ARRT certification (required). BLS certification (required at time of hire). Professional experience in a clinical setting preferred. Knowledge of X‑ray procedures, anatomy, radiology equipment, and safety hazards.
