Mammography Technologist - Chesterfield Pavilion - Days

Overview VCU Health Chesterfield Pavilion is an upcoming ambulatory surgery center set to open in April2027 at 10031 Nash Road, Chesterfield. We are hiring a Mammography Technologist to join our team. Responsibilities Perform all duties of a Mammography Technologist, including providing accurate explanations and instructions to patients, performing ordered exams or therapy according to established protocols, and respecting patient comfort. Adhere to policies and protocols, documenting deviations and notifying providers when immediate clinical response is needed. Complete post‑processing, image display and transfer for physician review, order closure, charge entry and PACS QA. Cover open shifts as appropriate and initiate service calls, following up until issues are resolved. Advanced Competencies Independently perform routine breast imaging exams using Section protocols. Perform US‑guided breast biopsies and ductography. Handle routine and complex studies with full knowledge of technical standards and safety protocols. Qualifications Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB), ARRT‑M, and BLS. Successfully completed six‑month orientation; individuals with at least one year of experience may be hired directly. Experience in mammography imaging and related procedures, with competency in standard imaging equipment and software.
