About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Nursing License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: ICU background experience managing critically ill patients Description: The unit has 16 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. There is 1 unit secretary available for the critical care area. The type of equipment includes monitored rooms (private), Alaris IV pumps, and respiratory ventilators. The documentation system used is MediTech Expanse. This is a full-time night shift position requiring work every other weekend. Floating is voluntary based on expertise in the area. Experience in caring for cardiac, respiratory, DKA, and sepsis patients is required. Advanced skills include vital signs, A-Line monitoring, insulin drips, and sedative and vasopressor drips. A flexible self-scheduling model is offered within scheduling rules. Staff members report a caring and compassionate culture, with strong support from management.
