Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Job description:

We have an immediate opening for a full-time Civil Litigation Paralegal with excellent organization skills for a busy law practice.

Job Details:

• Communicating with clients by telephone and email.
• Assisting attorney with drafting, revising, and finalizing pleadings and correspondence.
• Maintaining attorney calendars by scheduling appointments, court appearances, and mediation/deposition hearings, as well as calendaring deadlines for court filings and tasks as needed.
• Performing legal research.
• Preparing and reviewing discovery packages.
• Communicating with Clerks of Court and opposing counsels in the scheduling of hearings and trials.
• Serving as a liaison between the client and attorney by scheduling appointments, assisting client in completion of documents, and responding to general client inquiries.
• Completing basic administrative duties such as scanning, paper and electronic file management, notarization, formatting, printing and compilation of documents.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Paralegal required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in Civil Litigation is strongly preferred.
• Self-starter who has excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
• Must be able to communicate with staff and clients in a pleasant and courteous manner.
• Must be capable of handling and empathizing with clients.
• Works well in a team environment.
