About the firm

Ladd & Co. is a private advisory practice operating from New York, Palm Beach, George Town, London, Zürich, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney. We advise UHNW families, single and multi-family offices, founder‑led enterprises, and institutional investors on M&A, capital placement, co‑investment, international structuring, and complex cross‑border matters.

We provide independent counsel and execution where the work is too complex, too sensitive, or too cross‑border for our clients' existing professional teams to handle alone.

Why we're hiring

Senior advisory work today sits between two extremes. Large banks, where experienced dealmakers spend half their time on internal politics and accept compromised economics in exchange for the brand. And boutiques, where senior people run their own shop but lack the global infrastructure, the institutional investor network, and the cross‑border execution capability to handle institutional work properly.

We are building the third option — a firm with the standards of a private bank, the agility of a boutique, and the platform to execute mandates in any jurisdiction our clients operate in.

The Partner programme

Partners originate and lead engagements under the Ladd & Co. brand. The firm provides everything behind the relationship — structuring, legal coordination, investor matching, deal collateral, documentation, due diligence, and senior involvement on every mandate that needs it. Partners keep direct economic participation in every advisory fee on the engagements they originate.

This is a senior role for people who already do this work — whether you sit at a boutique today, an accounting firm M&A practice, a private bank, a family office, or you run your own advisory shop. The test is whether you have real relationships with business owners, family offices, or the professionals who advise them — and whether you can lead an engagement from first conversation through to close.

What we look for

• An established personal network of business owners, family offices, or senior referral professionals (T&E lawyers, accounting firm partners, private bankers, RIAs)
• Direct senior experience originating or leading transactions, capital raises, or family office advisory work
• Typically 10+ years in M&A advisory, investment banking, capital markets, private banking, or family office advisory at a credible firm
• Although we care more about your network and judgment than your years
• The presence to represent the firm in any room and at any table
• Comfortable with the rhythm of partnership economics

Economics

Partnership arrangement, not employment. Partners are independent contractors compensated through direct participation in advisory fees on engagements they originate. No base, no retainer, no cap.

Annual earnings target: USD $500,000 – $2,000,000. The lower end reflects Partners closing one or two engagements per year. The upper end reflects senior Partners with deep networks closing four or more. Specific terms are discussed directly with qualified candidates.
