SAP BASIS Administrator and HANA DBAThe SAP BASIS Administrator and HANA DBA is responsible for reviewing and performing required system changes, solution design, server architecture, and performance analysis. Analyze process gaps and fine tune as and when required. Ensure delivery within the defined SLA and agreed milestones (projects) by following best practices and processes and observing KPI's for continuous service improvement. Interact with other teams, functional, ABAP teams, understand functional/technical requirements, and solve issues in the system administration area.Role ResponsibilitiesIn depth technical skills in managing SAP systems, HANA DB and integration interfacesReview and perform impact analysis on application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements. Translate them to technical architecture and system/server configuration requirementsProvide input into final decisions regarding hardware, network products, system software and securityCollaborate with the SAP HANA application implementation and the infrastructure team to ensure proper implementation, sustainable support, and peak performanceExecute common SAP and industry standard daily/weekly/monthly maintenance, BASIS administration procedures for SAP HANAExperience in automation in the SAP on Cloud space, High-Availability Disaster Recovery.Experience in managing BTP, SaaS applications (like SAC, CPI, CPQ, Ariba) and SAP cloud connector.Have supported SAP systems running on High Availability platforms, capable of troubleshooting the system startup and performance issuesExperience in L1 administration of Red Hat Linux when requiredInstall and upgrade SAP HANA Databases in a scale-up and scale-out environmentHas working knowledge of Redhat Linux enterprise High Availability clusterSet up three-tier HANA System ReplicationTroubleshot Hana memory bottlenecks, tune performance and manage workloadHANA DB Table partitioning, delta merging and data management.Establish, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity solutions for SAP HANASet up HANA SSO/SAMLInstall, upgrade, set up, and monitor HANA Database.Implement/Maintain Solution Manager Monitoring Alerts, configuring object metrics for App Server, HDB and OS levelExperience configuring and maintaining Solution Manager CHARM, Add/remove systems via SLD, Add remove Systems via CUABW4HANA Administration and remote source connection, SDA/SDI.Eclipse / HANA Studio and HANA Cockpit expert level exposure, role creation, role development, import/export content via HANA studio and promoting changes over the HDB landscape.Must have significant experience of working in a multi partner scenario and a cross- culture environmentITIL Process framework and knowledgeWork closely with other Support Organizations (DB, SAP functional and Infrastructure teams)Must have good knowledge of Incident Management, Change Management, Release Management and Problem Management processes based on ITIL FrameworkContribute to team objectives, should have excellent communication skillsSelf-motivated, Team player, committed, able to work independently and adopt to changing environmentGood problem-solving skills, able to prioritize among many conflicting needs, advocate a course of action, and pursue it consistently but flexible and responsive to dynamic situationsContinually seeks opportunities to increase stakeholder valueRequired Technical Qualifications (in order of level of need)12+ years in IT management, with a background in ITIL or similar foundational technology platform discipline10+ years' experience as BASIS administrator and HANA DBA,Knowledge of web services based on SAP-NetWeaver, SAP interfaces, SAP solutionsExperience establishing and enforcing production operations methodologiesKnowledge and expertise with the emerging technology trends such as S/4 HANA, Cloud, Mobility, and IoTUnderstanding of the challenges of large-scale deployments, program management of deployment of enterprise grade software solutionsAble to establish relationships with team members, management, and vendorsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills (will be tested during the interviews)Technical strength in cloud computing – Compute, Storage, & NetworkingEducation RequirementsA bachelor's degree in computer science; Master's degree preferred
