Lead Software Engineer - Asset Mgmt Tech

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We look for formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience across the full software development life cycle, including system design, application development, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and production support.
• We require strong Core Java and full-stack development skills, object-oriented analysis and design, and experience with REST APIs.
• We value the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into practical technical plans.
• We seek experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using one or more modern programming languages and database query languages.
• We need experience designing and running cloud-native applications with AWS services, container platforms, and infrastructure as code, such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, and Terraform.
• We look for experience promoting observability practices, including monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and SLO/SLA management.

• We require strong experience writing and maintaining unit, functional, and integration tests.
• Preferred: familiarity with modern front-end technologies such as React.
• Preferred: AWS certification, such as Solutions Architect or Developer.
• Preferred: working knowledge of Fund Administration, Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Custody, Investment Operations, or Asset Management platforms.
• Preferred: experience integrating operational and investment data platforms through APIs, event streams, and data pipelines.

• We lead the development of strategic end-to-end platform capabilities for Fund Administration and Transfer Agency businesses.
• We design, develop, and deliver full-stack software solutions, applying strong problem-solving skills to complex technical challenges.
• We partner with stakeholders and product owners to gather requirements, clarify scope, and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
• We drive development planning activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, effort estimation, and technical roadmap definition, so the team delivers incrementally and predictably.
• We promote the use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while maintaining secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and governance standards.
• We build secure, high-quality production code and review peer contributions to sustain consistency, reliability, and engineering standards.
• We identify opportunities to automate or remove recurring remediation work to strengthen the operational stability of applications and systems.
• We maintain clear technical documentation, including design documents, architecture decisions, and runbooks, so knowledge remains accessible.
• We participate in software engineering communities of practice to encourage awareness and adoption of modern tools, patterns, and best practices.
• We mentor and develop engineers across global locations and foster engineering excellence through coaching and technical leadership.
