Lead Software Engineer - Data Mgmt SQL

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We require advanced proficiency in Java or Python.
• We need strong knowledge of relational databases and Transact SQL, including Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server.
• We require strong knowledge of Databricks.
• We value experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database query languages.
• We expect a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Preferred: exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Preferred: experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, or ThoughtSpot.
• Preferred: knowledge of Kafka messaging.
• Preferred: familiarity with Scala and Apache Spark.

• We execute inventive software solutions, including design, development, and technical troubleshooting, while approaching problems beyond standard methods.
• We participate in and lead the modernization and upgrade of our Credit Risk technology stack in line with industry best practices.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We identify opportunities to remove or automate fixes for recurring issues to strengthen the operational stability of our software applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within our existing systems and information architecture.
• We lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote awareness and adoption of new and emerging technologies.
