Analysis will include assessment of capabilities, cost/benefits, and timelines and assist in making recommendations and alternatives to enhance/replace the system. The Senior Encounter Business Analyst will be working closely with the client leadership, specifically the Director and senior executives and with Encounter Data system vendors.Role ResponsibilitiesReview current Encounter Data system functionalityAssess current state and develop future state functional requirements for encounter data systemResearch options in industry and other states for solution optionsGather information from management, stakeholders and users to identify and document business and system issues, defects, gaps and identify current business and program needsReview system requirements and system design documents from vendor for enhancements and validate level of effort and resource estimate for staffing and scheduleIdentify and resolve risks and issues impacting the progress and outcome of the projectLead triage efforts of system, software, or data issues and coordinates remediation effortsResearch and provide recommendations to management on critical business decisionsCreate business artifacts, business flows, and requirements mapping as neededCollaborate with other project areas to provide subject matter expertise and assistance as applicablePerform periodic assessment activities with focus on requirements traceability and testingAttend project and status meetingsCollaborate with other team members to provide subject matter expertise and assistance as applicableEnsure that all project identified processes and methodologies are executed and followed as applicableEmployee is expected to undertake any additional duties as they are assigned by their managerBasic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree2 years Encounter data system / business analysis experienceExperience in data analytics and data analysisExperience in healthcare and managed care plans and systemsMMIS experienceSolid understanding of systems development and input/output modelingExperience working on large, complex systems projectsKnowledge of PMBOKNice to HaveStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience conducting meetings and making presentationsStrong problemsolving and customer service skillsTeam player and a consistent, dependable performer with an excellent work ethic, flexible “cando” attitude, and a results-driven commitment to successAbility to apply industry best practices and future state/federal mandates to existing systemsExcels at using quantitative data to drive recommendations and decisionsAbility to manage vendors and third parties effectively driving to meet commitments and milestonesKnowledge of CMS Certification process and requirementsKnowledge of industry standards, PMI, CMMI, NIST, and IEEEThis position is only available to those interested in direct staff employment opportunities with NTT DATA, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
