Continental Placer Inc. is hiring both senior geologists and field geologists for our office in New York!

Continental Placer Inc. is a full-service geologic and environmental consulting firm with offices in Tampa, FL, Albany, NY and Mechanicsburg, PA. We have an immediate openings for both a staff and (or) senior level geologist to work within our mining consulting business. Candidates are expected to be goal oriented and willing to join a nationally recognized team of motivated professionals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The geologist will work in all aspects of geology, mining and related environmental issues within the United States. Responsibilities include a wide range of office and field assignments such as geologic mapping, resource exploration, core logging, aggregate testing, environmental permitting and drone mapping. Candidate must be willing to travel for field work which sometimes requires 10+ days in the field.

Qualifications

· BS degree in Geology, MS a plus

· 2-20 years of professional experience

· Knowledge of AutoCAD or GIS computer mapping programs and reserve analysis desirable.

· Report writing skills required

· Drone pilots license a plus

· Ability to interact with clients on a business level

· Ability to initiate and coordinate projects on time with minimal supervision

· Travel required

· Physical ability to handle fieldwork and sample collection

· Must have a valid US drivers license
