The Department of Pediatrics at our organization is on the lookout for board eligible or board certified General Pediatricians to join the Fast Track section of our Emergency Department. We seek skilled clinicians who are adept in basic emergency department procedures and can deliver prompt and considerate care to our expanding pediatric population.

Our Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) team comprises 33 attending physicians, 9 fellows, and 6 advanced care providers. Situated on the border of Queens and Nassau County, we are conveniently close to Manhattan. The department features 33 individual patient examination rooms and 2 critical care/trauma bays. We proudly hold the title of the busiest American College of Surgeons Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in New York State, with an annual visit volume of around 70,000. Additionally, we have a dedicated area for behavioral health and a behavioral health urgent care center. Our exceptional nursing staff has recently achieved the highest ranking in Magnet designation and has received the Lantern Award from the Emergency Nurses Association. Our team includes specialists in Global Health, Child Abuse, Ultrasound, Emergency Management, Pediatric Transport, Trauma, Quality, Advocacy/Gun Violence Prevention, and Research.

Cohen Children's Medical Center was established in 1983 as the only hospital in the New York metropolitan area specifically designed for children. Today, it stands as the largest pediatric teaching hospital in the region, accommodating over 750,000 visits each year and serving 1.8 million children across Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties. It functions as the tertiary pediatric medical center within our health system and is the sole Level-1 Pediatric Trauma Center in Nassau and Queens. Our center has been recognized as the top children's hospital in New York State and has received national rankings in the top 50 for outstanding care across 10 pediatric subspecialties.
