Production Team Lead – Coil Processing

Location: Middlebury, IN Department: Production Reports To: Production Supervisor Shift: 1st Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Production Team Lead to oversee daily operations in our coil processing department. This position is responsible for supervising production processes, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, solving production issues, and providing guidance and coaching to production employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily production activities.
• Monitor workflow to ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
• Coach, train, and develop team members to improve performance and skills.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all safety policies.
• Communicate production priorities and expectations to employees.
• Work closely with maintenance, quality, and management to resolve operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate production records and communicate shift performance.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or production leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in coil processing, metal service center operations, or related manufacturing is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate and develop employees.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete production documentation.
