Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - BJC Health System.

Additional Details:

RNs only - Clinicians who obtained RN degree outside of the U.S. and do not hold MO/IL/Compact license require extended licensing and compliance timeframe.

No medical marijuana cards accepted.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Acute Care Medicine patient population includes Acute Renal Failure, Pneumonia, Acute Pancreatitis, UTI, Encephalopathy/Cirrhosis, Sickle Cell Pain Crisis, Chest Pain, COPD, asthma acute exacerbation, syncope/collapse, Diabetes type I, and Ketoacidosis. - Top procedures typical for the unit include lab blood draws, POC blood glucose, EKG, peritoneal dialysis, MRI, swallow evaluations, endoscopy/colonoscopy, 2D echo, and venous doppler.

Shift & Scheduling: - BJC policy: Every other weekend required. - No call. - No more than 7 days of RTO per 13 week contract.

Floating Requirements: - Will float within scope to meet facility needs, within service line.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
