As Assistant Housekeeping Manager at Hyatt Grand Central New York, you'll help lead the front office team at a busy Midtown Manhattan hotel, supporting smooth daily operations and attentive service from arrival through departure.

At Hyatt, our associates create meaningful experiences through attentive, caring service. As Assistant Housekeeping Manager at Hyatt Grand Central New York, you'll support the Executive Housekeeper in leading daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public areas, and night cleaning.


You'll help maintain high standards for cleanliness, safety, and service while supporting associate training, development, and scheduling. This role is a good fit for a detail-oriented hotel leader who can work well with guests, associates, and colleagues across departments.


Responsibilities

• Assist with oversight of daily housekeeping operations, including guest rooms, public areas, and night cleaning.
• Help maintain cleanliness, presentation, and service standards throughout the hotel.
• Support associate training, coaching, development, and scheduling.
• Monitor housekeeping and laundry supplies, inventory, and par levels.
• Help ensure safety, security, and established operating procedures are followed.
• Respond to guest requests and concerns with professionalism and care.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to support room readiness and a smooth guest experience.
• Help prepare for special requests and the needs of VIP guests and other distinguished visitors.
• Promote a work environment that supports guest satisfaction and associate engagement.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper with daily priorities and operational needs.

Compensation: The expected salary range for this position is $64,400-$73,600 per year. Final compensation may depend on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

Qualifications:

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience
• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
• Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
• Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
