Position Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide patient care in a home health setting. This position involves conducting home visits, attending periodic office meetings, and delivering therapy services to clients in their residences. The candidate must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct home visits for therapy, providing care and support to patients in their own environments.
• Participate in periodic office meetings to discuss patient care and administrative tasks.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each patient visit.
• Collaborate with occupational and physical therapists to implement treatment plans.
• Travel between patients' homes and the clinic as necessary, covering up to 75 miles.

Productivity Expectations:

Contractors are expected to manage an average of 5-10 patients per day, achieving a minimum of 30 points per week based on various visit types and activities, including documentation and travel.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in adult home health care.
• No first-time applicants; candidates must have recent direct experience in home health.
• Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
• Proficiency in using HomeCare HomeBase EMR system and OASIS documentation.

Schedule:

This is a full-time contract position for 13 weeks with expected work hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Weekend requirements may vary based on location and specific job duties.

Travel Requirements:

Candidates must be comfortable with travel distances ranging from 50 to 75 miles, which may result in longer driving times between patient appointments.

Work Expectations:

• Documentation for each patient visit must be completed within 24 hours, as timely and accurate records are critical for patient care and billing processes.
• All clinicians are expected to accept patients regardless of their distance from previous appointments. Declining patients may result in cancellation of assignments.
• There are no guaranteed hours for this contract, and clinician productivity must align with weekly point expectations.

Location:

This position involves serving patients in the Griffin, GA area and may also require travel to nearby counties.
