Qualifications
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Intervention Specialist) in Ohio, or ability to obtain
- Experience or strong interest working with K-2 students in a Mental Health (MH) classroom setting
- Positive classroom management skills and collaborative attitude
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational capabilities
- Previous travel teaching experience a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction in a K-2 MH classroom tailored to each student’s IEP
- Adapt and implement engaging lesson plans, learning materials, and behavioral interventions
- Collaborate with school staff, support personnel, and families to maximize student progress
- Track student achievement, update records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
