The facility features The Frye Heart Center, an integrated cardiology service line, and combines Duke University Health System's clinical excellence with extensive operational resources to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care to the region.

Board Certified/Board Eligible - Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Job Details:
• Join a hospital-employed practice with two existing cardiovascular surgeons
• Work within an integrated cardiology service line including Interventional, Structural Heart, EP and Cardiologists
• Experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
• Call schedule is 1:3 rotation
• Perform full scope of adult cardiothoracic and cardiovascular procedures
• Fellowship in transcatheter valve and complex aortic surgery preferred
• Access to Duke Heart Network resources, training, and evidence-based guidelines
• Position available to both Cardiothoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons
• Perform cardiovascular procedures including CABG, endoscopic vein harvest, multi-arterial grafting, arrhythmia surgery, and endovascular surgery
• Conduct thoracic aortic surgery, aortic aneurysm repair, TEVAR, and TAVR procedures
• Provide valvular repair and replacement services
• Perform general thoracic procedures including advanced lung cancer diagnostics, EBUS, lobectomy, and mediastinoscopy
• Conduct minimally invasive VATS procedures and thoracic trauma management
• Perform open heart and minimally invasive valvular procedures including aortic and mitral valve operations
• Manage surgical closure of septal defects and tricuspid valve repair
• Handle treatment of various cardiac conditions including stenosis, regurgitation, and rheumatic disease

Compensation:
Employed salary with benefits.
