Opportunity:

Physician (MD) - Neurological Surgery

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive neurological surgery services with 3 patient encounters per shift
• Handle general neurosurgery cases with focus on adult population
• Board certification required with fellowship training preferred
• Must maintain active North Carolina medical license with clear malpractice history
• Required certifications include ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
• Preferred skills include cerebrovascular procedures (open and endovascular)
• Carotid or vertebral artery surgery and aneurysm clipping experience preferred
• Tumor surgery including neuroendocrine procedures preferred
• Stereotactic radiosurgery capabilities including functional and seizure work preferred
• VP shunt placement and skull base surgery experience preferred
• Spinal surgery with and without instrumentation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar) preferred
• Peripheral nerve surgery and pain procedures preferred
• Endovascular procedures and ICP monitor placement preferred
• Central line placement and ventilator management preferred
• Application of external traction preferred
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days for temporary privileges
• Ongoing PRN coverage needs with holiday scheduling opportunities
