Community and Partnership Specialist

HealthStaff Training Institute (HSTi) is seeking an outgoing, professional Community and Partnership Specialist to build relationships with workers’ compensation attorneys, law firms, claims professionals, medical offices, rehabilitation counselors, and other referral partners. The primary goal is to educate referral sources about HSTi’s vocational training programs and help eligible injured workers understand how they may use a California Supplemental Job Displacement Benefit (SJDB) voucher for approved training. Key Responsibilities Visit workers’ compensation law firms and attorneys’ offices throughout the assigned territory. Introduce HSTi and explain its vocational training options for injured workers. Educate referral partners about how eligible clients may use SJDB/RTWSP benefits for career training. Develop professional relationships with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, claims professionals, rehabilitation counselors, and medical offices. Identify new law firms and referral partners through field research, networking, online directories, and professional events. Schedule office visits, presentations, lunch-and-learns, and follow-up meetings. Deliver HSTi brochures, program information, referral instructions, and other approved marketing materials. Present HSTi’s online, hybrid, and campus-based training options clearly and accurately. Explain available programs, schedules, locations, enrollment steps, and student support services. Generate qualified injured-worker referrals while making no promises regarding voucher eligibility, approval, benefits, employment, or legal outcomes. Obtain permission from prospective students before sharing their information with HSTi admissions staff. Follow up consistently with referral partners without becoming overly aggressive. Keep referral partners informed about new programs, upcoming start dates, and HSTi services. Attend workers’ compensation conferences, legal networking events, community events, and industry meetings. Coordinate closely with HSTi admissions, marketing, career services, and management teams. Record every visit, contact, referral, and follow-up activity in HSTi’s CRM. Maintain an organized weekly route and appointment calendar. Submit weekly reports covering office visits, meetings, referrals, enrollments, opportunities, and follow-up plans. Meet established outreach, referral, appointment, and enrollment-support goals. Represent HSTi professionally and follow all privacy, marketing, anti-kickback, and workers’ compensation compliance requirements. Qualifications At least two years of experience in field marketing, outside sales, business development, community outreach, legal services, vocational rehabilitation, healthcare, or education. Workers’ compensation or legal-industry experience is strongly preferred. Existing relationships with workers’ compensation attorneys or law firms are a major advantage. Strong face-to-face communication, presentation, networking, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable making cold visits and introducing HSTi to new offices. Persistent, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in the field. Able to explain programs and funding information accurately without providing legal advice. Proficient with email, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital scheduling tools. Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; college education is preferred. Schedule: 40 hours per week, primarily Monday through Friday Work setting: Primarily field-based, with regular office and campus meetings Territory: Southern California and other assigned service areas Travel: Frequent local travel to law firms, medical offices, events, and referral organizations Transportation: Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current automobile insurance required Mileage: Reimbursed for approved business travel according to company policy Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $30-33 per hour, with a performance-based bonus structure Benefits: Health benefits, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits according to HSTi policy Training provided: HSTi programs, SJDB/RTWSP fundamentals, outreach messaging, privacy requirements, CRM documentation, and referral procedures Performance Expectations Performance may be evaluated using: Number of new offices visited Number of meaningful decision-maker conversations Number of presentations or scheduled meetings Number of active referral relationships developed Number and quality of injured-worker referrals Referral-to-appointment and referral-to-enrollment conversion Consistency of follow-up CRM accuracy and completeness Professionalism and compliance Contribution to HSTi’s overall Workers’ Compensation enrollment growth The representative must market HSTi through education, service, and professional relationship development.
