Urologic Oncologist

Assistant Professor

The Department of Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) in Madison, Wisconsin seeks a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist to provide state-of-the art patient care while advancing the field of urology and training the next generation of physicians.

This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Contact with vulnerable populations that are non-minors (does not pertain to physicians/providers who work with minors): This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.

Applicants for this position will be considered for the following titles: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.

Our highly acclaimed program focuses on cutting-edge surgical care for adult and pediatric urologic patients while conducting innovative research and training the next generation of academic urologists.

Compensation is negotiable, 12 month, with benefits such as generous vacation, holidays, and sick leave; competitive insurances and savings accounts; retirement benefits.

Required qualifications include completion of Urology Residency, completion of Urologic Oncology Fellowship by start date, a strong history of academic accomplishment, eligibility for a Wisconsin Medical License, board certification or board eligibility in Urology through the American Board of Urology, and eligibility for enrollment as a UW Health billing provider and all necessary hospital privileges.

Preferred qualifications include meeting criteria established by the department and outlined in the UW Divisional Committee guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the tenure track.

Education required: MD or DO, or equivalent.
