Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for long-term patients within a specialized PCU setting.
  
  
• 
  Manage and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias, titrate drips, and oversee peripheral line and PICC line management.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, including ACM, BLS, NIH, and advanced cardiac life support standards.
  
  
• 
  Float between campuses as needed, providing high-quality care across various clinical settings.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to patient ratios of 1:5 on the PCU, ensuring safe and effective patient management.
  
  
• 
  Complete necessary modules during orientation and maintain proficiency in EPIC EMR system usage.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Must have at least 2 years of recent relevant experience in PCU or Stepdown units.
  
  
• 
  Active state nursing license required with no open cases.
  
  
• 
  Proven experience with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and titration of drips.
  
  
• 
  Valid ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed).
  
  
• 
  Must have IV management experience, including PICC line care.
