Primary City/State: Phoenix, Arizona Department Name: Open Heart Surg-Hosp Work Shift: Day Job Category: Nursing Up to $15,000 sign‑on bonus for experienced CVOR RNs* Position Summary Banner Estrella Medical Center, a Level IV Trauma Center with CVOR and Main OR services, seeks experienced Registered Nurses for its Cardiovascular Operating Room team. The role provides critical assistance to surgeons during cardiac procedures with a dynamic, trust‑driven environment that encourages career growth. Core Functions Assess patients’ physical, psychologic, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs; review histories, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians. Develop and revise individualized care plans, including discharge plans, based on assessment data and input from patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Implement care plans through direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of the health‑care team while adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate patients and families’ responses to care and teaching; adjust plans as needed to meet goals and outcomes. Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record accurately and timely. Provide evidence‑based care; participate in research, unit leadership, and education of staff, patients, and visitors. Contribute to nursing quality improvement, professional organization participation, and community activities that improve patient outcomes. Assist with supervision and workflow of staff when required. Communicate with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts to provide comprehensive support and clarify information. Minimum Qualifications Current, valid RN license in the state of practice (or temporary/interim/compact RN license). BLS certification. Minimum of one year RN experience in the operating room. New or recently graduated nurses must complete the Perioperative Academy curriculum and the Banner RN Perioperative Services Competency Tool within the first year. Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations. Preferred Qualifications Python’s Bachelor's degree (preferred). At least one year of operating room and/or cardiovascular or vascular experience (preferred). Professional certification in perioperative nursing (preferred). Additional related education or experience that supports the role (preferred). Benefits and Schedule Shift: Day shift (4 10s), 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM. On‑Call: Required. • 3/hour weekend differential
• 5/hour On‑Call + Double Pay Callback
