Investigative Analyst

As the Analyst I in the Investigations Division, you will work in the Intake and Predication Unit analyzing information received from whistleblowers about alleged improper governmental activities to triage and prepare for further evaluation by Investigators. This position involves highly sensitive and confidential information in nature. Specifically, the Analyst I: Reviews, inputs, organizes, and analyzes information submitted for the Whistleblower Hotline into the division’s electronic case management system to ensure data accuracy, completeness, eliminate deduplication of information, and usability for investigative decision-making. Evaluates incoming whistleblower tips, case file documentation, and department responses to determine completeness, compliance with program requirements, and potential risks that require follow-up. Maintains an organized filing system for open and closed investigative case files, including creating case files, filing information in the files, and retrieving information from the files. Drafts, edits, and finalizes documents, summaries, memos, and correspondence that support investigative operations, ensuring clarity, completeness, and correct application of program requirements. Collaborates with users to evaluate system functionality, gathers feedback, and applies analytical judgment to strengthen operational effectiveness. Completes special assignments requiring data gathering, interpretation, and recommendation development in support of division managers. WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN US? You desire a monthly salary range of $3,975-$6,464 with a 2% pay differential as well as a longevity bonus. Final Filing Date: August 12, 2026 WORKING CONDITIONS This position is eligible for participation in the office’s hybrid telework program. Work at the alternate work location must be in California and conducted in a space that is ergonomically sound, private, distraction-free, and has safe working conditions to be eligible to telework. Work performed in the office is in an air-conditioned high-rise building with elevator access and both natural and artificial lighting. Work may require sitting for an extended period of time using a personal computer and the use of standard office equipment, such as phones, copiers or scanners. Work may require periodic non-standard work hours and work during weekends to meet workload needs and demands. Work may require walking short distances to other nearby buildings.
