Heavy Equipment Operator

Summit Excavation & Remediation is looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. We specialize in environmental remediation, land reclamation, excavation, and oilfield projects throughout North Dakota. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of doing the job right, and wants to be part of a growing company. Position Responsibilities: Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, remediation, and reclamation work Work around underground utilities and environmentally sensitive areas Complete finish grading and site restoration Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance Follow company and site safety requirements Work effectively with project managers, supervisors, and other crew members Maintain a clean and professional jobsite Take ownership of the quality of completed work Preferred Qualifications: Previous heavy equipment operating experience Excavation, oilfield, remediation, or reclamation experience preferred Ability to safely operate multiple types of equipment GPS/machine-control experience is a plus Valid driver’s license CDL is a plus Strong work ethic and attention to detail Willingness to travel when projects require it Ability to work extended hours during the construction season What We’re Looking For We want more than someone who can simply run equipment.
