Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapist

Role Overview: The occupational therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve patients' daily activities, mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are provided across the continuum, emphasizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities Develops and revises treatment plans in collaboration with patients and families, providing education and discharge instructions. Establishes and evaluates treatment programs and discharge plans with physician input. Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, family education, and discharge details per departmental protocols. Acts as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services and equipment. Maintains ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and professional appearance. Communicates effectively with team members and participates in meetings, training, and process improvements. Utilizes materials safely and efficiently, adhering to infection prevention protocols. Provides excellent customer service, applying AIDET principles, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive environment. Engages in ongoing professional development, completes required competencies, and participates in orientation and training. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Licenses and certifications: Occupational Therapist license, BLS certification (or equivalent).
