Pulmonology Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) Overview Physicians who want clinical autonomy and full ownership of their practice can partner with MedCBO for non‑clinical business support. This is an independent practice opportunity; physicians create and own their own practice entity while MedCBO provides administrative and operational support. Physicians may establish or transition a practice in a preferred market, subject to licensure and regulatory requirements. MedCBO does not direct patient care or clinical decisions. Opportunity Description Start a new private practice Transition from employment to ownership Convert an existing practice to a supported model Relocate and establish a practice in a new market Physician Responsibilities Provide patient care within the pulmonology specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing as required. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform implementation. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state. Board certified or board eligible in a specialty appropriate for the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is generated by the physician‑owned practice and is not a salary.
